Quattro appuntamenti di spiritualità per entrare nella dimensione dell’Avvento 2024, confrontandosi con la ricerca del volto di Dio. E’ questo il percorso offerto dai “martedì biblici” di VENITE E VEDETE
The Ordinary Time of the Church is far from over. If Christmas Time and Easter Time highlight the central mysteries of the Incarnation and the passion, death on the cross, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ, and the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the Sundays and weeks of Ordinary Time, on the other hand, take us through the life of Christ: to be converted, to live and conform our lives to Christ. The goal toward which all of history is directed is represented by the final Sunday in Ordinary Time, the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. To live more deeply this maturation and growth in faith, a time in which the mystery of Christ is called to penetrate ever more deeply into history until all things are finally caught up in Christ, the Augustine Institute offers us the Lectio series. The Lectio series will help us discover the relevant truth of Scripture and the tradition of the Catholic Church through a video-based study series. Among the series is Dr. Tim Gray’s six-part sessions which combine insight and practical guidance using the lectio divina disciplines to make the Scriptures come alive in the study Philippians: Life in Christ; another interesting Lectio series is the Lectio: The Case for Christ a 9-part session with Dr. Brant Pitre where he draws evidence from both early Christian and non-Christian writings attesting to the authenticity, authorship, and dating of the Gospels, and as he gives an in-depth look at the Gospel accounts of Jesus’s Crucifixion, Resurrection, and the proclamation of Christ’s divinity.
