Una mesa redonda, que tuvo lugar en Radio María el pasado 10 de marzo, subrayó el valor de la lectura de la Biblia, contextualizándola en la historia y la geografía
Pope St. John Paul II in his Letter to Artists wrote: «To communicate the message entrusted to her by Christ, the Church needs art. Art must make perceptible and attractive the world of the spirit, of the invisible, of God. It must therefore translate into meaningful terms that are in itself ineffable. Art has a unique capacity to take one or other facet of the message and translate it into colors, shapes, and sounds which nourish the intuition of those who look or listen.»
Christian Art is a London-based multilingual site that offers daily Gospel reading and reflections, in a unique «approach». Each day, it has a selected work of art relevant to the day’s scripture passage and offers a short written reflection on the two. With over 40,000 subscribers, their goal is to bridge the gap between the art world and the Catholic Church to facilitate a magnificent pairing of art and the Christian Faith.
