Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again. As we repeat the mystery of our faith during Sunday worship, I often wonder what Christ will ‘look’ like when Christ comes again… will we even recognize Christ in this new appearance? One way to explore this question is to examine the portraits of Jesus Christ in our four gospels. What did each of the gospel writers see when they saw Jesus? What did they hear (and decide to ‘write down’) when Jesus spoke? How did each of the gospel writers come to understand that Jesus was the Christ (the one anointed by God)? Listening carefully to each of these four important witnesses can help us to understand what we might be looking for when Christ does ‘come again.’ April 18th – April 22nd, 2022, 7:00 to 9:00 pm CT time.
