Who is the man of the Shroud? What is this mysterious cloth, considered by many to be a relic of Jesus Christ himself? This season of Lent, the Pontificio Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum offers a “unique” virtual exhibit of reproduction of the Shroud, believed to be the burial garment of Jesus Christ. The exhibit offers: a historical-didactic path from the “beginning” of the Shroud up to our days; presentation of the scientific debate on authenticity, characteristics, etc. subject of the researches carried out in the last years; the study of the Passion of Christ based on the Shroud document; the reconstruction of some of the objects of the Passion: the nails, the crown of thorns, flagellum used for the scourging among many. The exhibit promotes Story and “offers an opportunity to continue the dialogue between Science and Faith.” The exhibit is also intended for those who have a spiritual interest in the Shroud and who wish to know more about its value, its authenticity, its meaning, and its message. The virtual exhibit begins on March 28, 2022 and will be available till April 20. The subscription is for free and is open until March 28.
