As Holy Week approaches, the Martini Foundation proposes to listen again to the audios from the 1983-1984 School of the Word: meditations beginning with Psalm 50 (51), which Martini wanted
The Seven Last Words of Christ refers to the final seven phrases taken from the combined accounts of the four Gospels that Our Lord uttered as He is dying on the Cross.
In one of his Holy Week reflections, Pope Francis said that “the Passion of Jesus Christ is a lesson in history where we sympathize with Christ for the sufferings he went through before he died. We find it hard to believe how people can be so cruel as to inflict the most severe form of pain on a man who we know was innocent. For Christians, the Passion should be more than a history lesson. It should become a life lesson, teaching us how to stand up for truth and justice.”
This Good Friday, 15 April (12 noon Philippine Time), the priests and brothers of the Society of Saint Paul Philippine- Macau Province invites us to reflect and meditate with them on the seven last words of our Lord dying on the Cross.
