he Israel Authority for Nature and Parks has allowed us to be the first to record from inside the recently discovered prison in Caesarea, where the Apostle Paul was imprisoned.
The Holy Land never ceases to give us back its natural, religious and archaeological beauties… which often evoke significant biblical pages. Walking in the north of Israel you get to the ancient city of Hippos, one of the cities of the Decàpoli, near the territory of the Geraseni, where Jesus healed a man possessed by a legion of demons and caused unclean spirits to enter a herd of pigs and rush into the lake (which at that time reached this location). Very recent excavations in the site of Hippos (today’s Susita), in front of the Lake of Galilee, have brought to light the largest baptistery of the Holy Land. Its great importance in Byzantine times makes it a center where all the catechumens of the region were baptized. See website.
See artícle of January 3, U.S. reporting the important finding.
