Catania Hosts the 28th Communications Festival this 14th to 21st of May

From May 14-21, 2023, the Archdiocese of Catania will host the XVIII Festival of Communication entitled “Talk with the heart and do it with meekness.” The event is promoted by the Society of Saint Paul and the Daughters of Saint Paul to celebrate significantly the 57th World Communications Day which will be celebrated on Sunday, May 21, 2023. The Festival will move in search of the Word and words to create relationships, promote the culture of the territory, tell the good. It is an articulated journey that goes from journalism to books, from graphic arts to photography, from music to theater, from digital to manual workshops. In the meetings (which will take place in conference rooms, theaters, churches, schools, university locations, museums and squares) writers, journalists, speakers, musicians, singers, experts, scholars will make their valuable contribution to “make reason for the hope that is in us” (cf 1pt 3:14-17), and give concreteness to the Pope’s invitation “to seek and to tell the truth and to do it with charity”, with courage and freedom, so that our communication is free, clean and friendly, and dismantles the “war psychosis that lurks in our hearts”.
