Gate Zero is a new video game aimed at teenagers that a team from the Church of Norway is working on. Those who play the game embark with the characters Max and his cousin who live in the year 2072 on a journey back in time using a time machine to solve a riddle involving their late grandmother. During their quest, the protagonists must perform certain tasks: Max, for example, must walk from the Mount of Olives to the Garden of Gethsemane and visit the Temple in Jerusalem. Currently, the proto version of the video game that has been launched and has been downloaded by about 1,600 people. The full version will arrive in 2024: the goal is to have more than a hundred thousand users. The video game will be released in four editions, said developer Arve Solli. The first will contain about forty biblical events. But the ultimate goal is to cover the entire life of Jesus. “We don’t know yet how quickly the subsequent editions will come out, but we hope to do it within four to six years.” The game will be available through the Steam gaming platform.
