For the Pauline Editors of Brazil, having an edition of the Bible (“fuente de luz”) translated directly from the original texts was a big dream, and that dream has become a reality today. In a fluent style, it makes use of the latest biblical research to be ever more faithful to the original texts. The introductions and explanatory notes feature commentary and abundant intertextual references. A valuable support for theological reflection, spiritual reading, catechesis and liturgical celebration of faith. A contribution to the service of the Church, so that “the study of Sacred Scripture” becomes “a door open to all believers” (Evangelii Gaudium, 175). The project leader greeted the new edition by commenting, “As Daughters of St. Paul, we know that the commitment to the mission of evangelization continues over time, so that the Word of God reaches people’s hands and hearts and the true encounter with Jesus Master Way, Truth and Life (Jn. 14:6) is realized in everyone’s life.”
