Journey to Bethlehem: The Christmas Story in a Musical

This November Christmas comes a little “early”… in theaters. Again, the beloved and the greatest story of all time, the Nativity of our Lord Jesus comes alive on screen… and in songs! The film’s plot summary describes the film: it is about “a young woman carrying an unimaginable responsibility; a young man torn between love and honor; a jealous king who will stop at nothing to keep his crown.” Journey to Bethlehem is a live-action Christmas musical celebration for the entire family. The film “weaves classic Christmas melodies into new pop songs in a music-infused retelling of the timeless story of Mary and Joseph and the birth of Jesus. A unique new entry into the collection of holiday classic movies, this epic Christmas musical is unlike any before it.” This Christmas musical is produced by Sony’s Affirm Films, who also produced the film Risen in 2016. Affirm Films is an American Christian film studio and label of Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions, which produces, markets, and acquires faith-based films.
