The Pontifical Biblical Institute, at the request of a number of biblical scholars (especially former students of the Institute), has for some years now undertaken an initiative of ongoing formation for scholars and professors of Sacred Scripture in theological faculties and other institutions of study. The offer is configured as follows: each year a study seminar is organized, open to professors and/or researchers in the field of Sacred Scripture, with the aim of updating the participants in the various biblical sectors and creating a platform for exchange among those engaged in biblical teaching in various parts of the world. It is not only a time for listening and updating, but also for participation, with the exchange of experiences in the field of teaching and research. The theme chosen for the days from January 22 to 26, 2024 will be: The New Testament in the Greco-Roman context of the 1st century. Registration for the conference will close at the end of November.
