In the world of South Korean and Japanese comics it has already happened to see transposed on paper the character of Jesus. Just think of his appearance in The Bizarre Adventures of Jojo (in the seventh part Steel Ball Run). The Bible itself has also been adapted into a manga version. An example is the Manga Bible, a Japanese 6-volume series published between 2006 and 2019, written by Hidenori Kumai and illustrated by Kozumi Shozawa and Ryo. The series published in these days by Paoline Editoriale Libri is the Italian version of the Power Bible, written by Sook-ja Yum and illustrated by Shin-joon Kim. Published in South Korea between 2005 and 2009, it has a total of 10 volumes. The first 6 numbers in the South Korean edition adapt the Old Testament, with Genesis, the Exodus and the birth of the Kingdom of Israel; the other 4 speak of the New Testament, from the birth of Jesus to the Apocalypse. In Italy the publication begins with the New Testament of which the first three volumes are available: Jesus and his mission (1), Towards Jerusalem (2), The New Covenant (3).
