For a Lent Illuminated by the Word

The various dioceses of Italy proposes numerous initiatives on how to live the forty-day journey towards Easter “in the light of the Word.” We present here what has been put in place by the Diocese of Brescia, which is easily available on the dedicated website: diocesi.brescia.it/quaresima-2024/. In order for the Word to bear fruit, Lent is a “necessary” a time of listening where it becomes a vital space. This is what is proposed to children, young people and families with the slogan Good Morning Jesus. All in a word game that becomes listening to the Word par excellence, thanks to “key terms” drawn from the Sunday liturgy and then declined in the various days of the week. In addition to this, the Lenten projects and Lenten sermons dedicated to the beatitudes, as well as the prayer spaces for young people, are worth visiting.
