The ‘Lectio Petri’ examines the Book of Ecclesiastes

Following the success of the first three editions, which were dedicated to the Apostle Peter and the Apostle Paul, the Lectio Petri series has resumed within St. Peter’s Basilica. These encounters are organized by the ‘Cortile dei Gentili’ Foundation and the ‘Fratelli tutti’ Foundation. This year’s theme—chosen for the first time by the public through a communication campaign and a social media poll—is Qohelet (or Ecclesiastes), a striking literary text from the Old Testament focused on the theme of crisis. The book poses, and compels the reader to ask, radical and uncompromising questions about the meaning of life and death, love and sorrow, wealth and pleasure. Watch the first episode here
