Our invitation to read the Bible is born out of the fruitful collaboration between SOBICAIN (International Catholic Bible Society) and the Aletti Centre. Each week we will offer key elements for reading a book of the Bible by means of a brief introduction and an Icon explained. In this video the icon presents the fulfillment of the Torah. Christ is the ultimate theophany, the image of the unrepresentable God. As the new Moses, in the Sermon on the Mount, He gives full completion to the ancient Torah. He does not teach a law external to man, but gives the Word that is the Life of the Kingdom, to which the merciful, the afflicted, and the pure in heart already belong.
