Our invitation to read the Bible is born out of the fruitful collaboration between SOBICAIN (International Catholic Bible Society) and the Aletti Centre. Each week we will offer key elements for reading a book of the Bible by means of a brief introduction and an Icon explained. In this video the icon presents the suffering of the righteous man (Job 6). Job, prostrated by pain, questions God. In the scroll, his friends scrutinize the words “I knew of you then only by hearsay” their responses, in fact, are abstract. Instead, Job, through the trial, arrives at contemplating God with his own eyes. Thus, he prefigures Christ, the suffering servant.
