Our invitation to read the Bible is born out of the fruitful collaboration between SOBICAIN (International Catholic Bible Society) and the Aletti Centre. Each week we will offer key elements for reading a book of the Bible by means of a brief introduction and an Icon explained. In this video the icon presents Ezra and Nehemiah, the prophets of restoration (Ezra 1). The scribe Ezra and the governor Nehemiah, alongside the rest of Israel, emerge from the darkness of the exile. With the Law (Ezra) and the Temple (Nehemiah) serving as the focal points for the renewal of faith, God guides their steps.
