On Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 5:30 PM, the Rome headquarters of La Civiltà Cattolica (Via di Porta Pinciana 1) will host an event titled “Uncomfortable Biblical Questions,” organized in collaboration with the Georgetown University – Rome Office. We are often accustomed to approaching biblical texts in search of definitive answers. However, those who read them with care soon discover that the Bible is also—and perhaps primarily—a profound book of questions. These are inquiries posed by God to humanity and by humanity to God; they are restless, provocative, and at times deeply unsettling. Some questions are left suspended, while others forge unexpected paths that challenge our long-held certainties. In this multi-perspective conversation, we will invite these “uncomfortable questions” to challenge us, exploring them through unconventional lenses. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed live on our dedicated YouTube channel.
