Our invitation to read the Bible is born out of the fruitful collaboration between SOBICAIN (International Catholic Bible Society) and the Aletti Centre. Each week we will offer key elements for reading a book of the Bible by means of a brief introduction and an Icon explained. In this video the icon presents the queen Esther who intercedes for her people (Ester 5). The light that proceeds from the Father’s hand rests upon Esther, chosen by Providence to liberate Israel. The queen intercedes with her husband, the Persian king, on behalf of her people to keep them in peace. Under the common mantle of the spouses, the people find the house for them prepared by God.
