“Invitation to Read the Bible” is a project born from the fruitful collaboration between Sobicain (International Catholic Biblical Society) and the Aletti Center; each week, we offer key insights for reading a specific book of the Bible through a brief introduction and an explanation of the icon that opens the book. In the icon, we see the prologue of John (Jn 1,1-18). The Father gives the Son, the light of humanity. Humanity can either welcome or reject the gift. In the darkness appears the one who, folded in on himself, seeks to save himself by his own strength. On the other side is the multitude of those who, by receiving the Lamb, bear His image within them and become children of light.
