“Invitation to Read the Bible” is a project born from the fruitful collaboration between Sobicain (International Catholic Biblical Society) and the Aletti Center; each week, we offer key insights for reading a specific book of the Bible through a brief introduction and an explanation of the icon that opens the book. In the icon, we see the parable of Dn 3. The young men thrown into the furnace, for their refusal of idolatry, continue to bless the God of the covenant. The Lord sends His angel to guard them beneath His wings. These three young men foreshadow the Paschal Triduum, in which Christ, by trusting in the Father, conquers death.
