Our invitation to read the Bible is born out of the fruitful collaboration between SOBICAIN (International Catholic Bible Society) and the Aletti Centre. Each week we will offer key elements for reading a book of the Bible by means of a brief introduction and an Icon explained. In this video the icon presents the dialogue between chrónos and kairós (Ecl 3). Ecclesiastes stands at the center of a great clock where the vanity of all things is presented. He points to three, the hour of salvation. The serpent, which circles back on itself, marking cyclical time (chrónos), is ultimately defeated by the coming of Christ, the fullness of time (kairós), where everything passes into the eternity of the Father’s love.
