Gal: An Invitation to Read the Bible

Gal: An Invitation to Read the Bible

On the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, we invite you to read the Pauline letter that, more than any other, captures the profound, vibrant, and dynamic relationship between the two apostles. It is a relationship shaped by enriching encounters Gal 1,17, complementary visions (Gal 2,7), hands joined in fellowship (Gal 2,9), and tensions resolved (Gal 2,11)—but above all, by a shared passion for the Lord and His Gospel.

“An Invitation to Read the Bible” is a project born from the fruitful collaboration between SOBICAIN (International Catholic Biblical Society) and Centro Aletti. Each week, we provide the key elements for reading a book of the Bible through a brief introduction and an explanation of its opening icon. In this icon, the Father gives the Son: within the blue of humanity, the mystery of the Incarnate Word appears, having pitched His tent among us. Mary and Joseph welcome the mystery of the divine-human nature. Meanwhile, Paul, in the power of the Spirit, proclaims to the nations the divine plan that allows us to cry out: “Abba, Father!”
