“Invitation to Read the Bible” is a project born from the fruitful collaboration between Sobicain (International Catholic Biblical Society) and the Aletti Center; each week, we offer key insights for reading a specific book of the Bible through a brief introduction and an explanation of the icon that opens the book. In the icon, we see the new covenant written on hearts. Jeremiah announces the new covenant (Jer 31,31-34): no longer an external law, but the outpouring of the Spirit that inscribes the features of the Son within humanity. The entire people will know God through forgiveness: all, from the least to the greatest, by casting off the tunics of sin, and are clothed by the Father of mercy.
