“Invitation to Read the Bible” is a project born from the fruitful collaboration between Sobicain (International Catholic Biblical Society) and the Aletti Center; each week, we offer key insights for reading a specific book of the Bible through a brief introduction and an explanation of the icon that opens the book. In the icon, we see the Joseph’s dream (Mt 1). Joseph is visited in a dream by an angel, who reveals God’s will to him: to welcome and protect the vocation of Mary, Mother of the Word. Joseph’s humanity is permeated by the red scroll, the color of God. By accepting the Word, he becomes a participant in the fatherhood of God.
