SOBICAIN is relaunching its training mission. Next January, in Rome, the first biblical course, which will be entirely dedicated to the Apostle Paul, will be held. It will feature a fruitful dialogue between biblical scholar Giacomo Perego and semiologist Alberto Bourlot. The core texts of Paul’s experience will be re-examined through the lens of exegesis and the text’s transmutation across various audiovisual languages. Following this initial in-person course, subsequent offerings will be available in online and blended formats.

Launched in 2003 in Frankfurt during the Biblical Year declared by the Catholic and Protestant Churches, the initiative by the Daughters of St. Paul to copy the entire Bible by hand has today been enshrined as a museum piece. Over the years, bookstore patrons, passersby, families, and school groups all contributed to transcribing the sacred texts.
